This sustainability-focused mindset dovetails with the Filson Workshop, where new designs are crafted from salvaged and deadstock fabrics and leather. This Return to Nature hat also honors the teachings of Thunder Voice Eagle’s parents, who founded a youth wilderness survival program. Materials from the Filson workshop are used for the hatband, which holds elements symbolizing what would be carried into the wilderness: a knife, water-purification tablets, and fire-starting materials. Proceeds from these exclusive hats support Native elders throughout the Southwest.
